Albany Park Juneteenth Lunch at Luella's Southern Kitchen
Join us for a Juneteenth celebration that honors Black culinary heritage and supports one of the only Black-owned restaurants in Albany Park — featuring a "pay what you can" lunch platter, a discussion exploring the significance of Juneteenth, and a talk with the chef and owner of Luella's Southern Kitchen, Darnell Reed. The "pay what you can" model is just that. Pay what you can for the lunch platter, whether it's $0 or $50, you are welcome to the table. See you there! Happy Juneteenth!
What is Sacred Space?
By signing up through sacred.space you're also supporting Albany Park resident and Black entrepreneur, Keith Dingle, who actively collaborates with community members to create more "third space" opportunities in our community. Third spaces are sacred spaces where we can gather in community, without the pressure of consuming or producing, and get back to what matters- connecting with each other. Support this mission and a Black entrepreneur by using Sacred.space for your next event- no ads, free to post, free to rsvp.
Opportunity to give back
Proceeds from this event will go to supporting Luella's Southern Kitchen prosperity and longevity in this neighborhood and future community organized events. This is more than a lunch — it’s a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the power of a supportive community. By participating, you’re investing directly in Black entrepreneurs, helping to circulate economic power in support of Black people and communities, which benefits all of us. See you there! Happy Juneteenth!
